In 2004, springtime another CD has been recorded by Jadwiga Teresa Stępień/pianist
Mariusz Rutkowski, Complete songs by Jan Ignacy Paderewski, edited by
Acte Préalable. This great Polish composer is a symbol of Polish Patriotism; he was a great Statesman who signed an Independence declaration with US president Wilson. He achieved through his popularity as musician, composer and pianist peaceful agreements with bordering countries. He was for dialogue instead of force. As Poland has now joined the great family of Europe the artist felt it was the moment to renew the CD of Paderewski. This CD has been dedicated and given to Minister Prof. Dr Danuta Hübner elected as of Mai first to the government of the European Union. "The music of a great Statesman to a great States Lady" |

The year 2003 - XX jubilee of Castle concerts
On the 16th of February 2003 there was a concert of the cycle "The Soloist of the XX jubilee : In "Carnival bel canto" Jadwiga Teresa Stępień-mezzosoprano, introduced Biljana Staffansson-soprano, born in Belgrade, and a young gifted pianist Maksymilian Bielecki. This concert was the 10th season at the Royal Castle for Jadwiga Teresa Stępień. The evening at the Royal Castle this year had a special meaning. Because of the access of Poland into the E.U. the invitation to this beautiful soprano born in Belgrade and also wife of the present Ambassador of Sweden to Poland was a symbol of opening the door by an artist who represents Polish Culture to another artist of European Countries. Meaning one country wanting to enter the E.U. versus one already belonging to the E.U. In this concert there will be songs and duets of Italian Composers V.Bellini, G.Rossini,G. Donizetti, G.Verdi and P. Tosti. |
